摘要 提出了一个用分层块匹配搜索方法解决用少量小范围运动估计(ME)ASIC芯片实时实现大范围ME的算法。详细说明了所提出方法的基本思想、硬件系统结构、设计要点。在设计时采用了两层结构,顶层的亚抽样率为4∶1,只需用6片STI3220即可实现P帧运动估计范围为(-128~+124)水平,(-64~+56)垂直。其研究成果可直接用于MPEG-2MP@ML视频编码器及HDTV视频编码器的设计与实时实现。 An algorithm adopting smallrange motion estimation ASIC chips to realize largerange motion estimation in real time is proposed.The basic idea,system structure of hardware and design points of the proposed method are described in detail.Twolayer structure is adopted for the design.The subsampling rate at the top layer is 4 to 1.Six STI 3220 chips can be sued to realize P frame motion estimation.The range is-128~+124 for horizontal and -64~+56 for vertical.The study result can be directly used for the design and realization in real time of MPEG2 MP@ML video encoder and HDTV video encoder.
