摘要
介绍了时间间隔测量的基本原理和常用的计数器校准方法,分析了小于1ns的时间间隔校准时存在的问题,并提出一种改进的高精度计数器校准方法。该方法利用高速脉冲发生器、宽带功分器、同轴空气延迟线等设备组成一套校准装置,产生标准的时间间隔,其输出范围为10 ps~1ns,最小步进长度为1 ps,最大测量误差为±(3 ps+0.01×时间间隔)。实验结果表明,该方法有效地改善了传统校准方法的缺点,可以方便地对高精度时间间隔计数器进行校准。
The principle of time interval measurement and general calibration methods is introduced, the problem of precise calibration when interval is small than 1 ns is analyzed, and an improved calibration method is presented in this paper. The calibration equipment is composed of high speed pulse generator, wide-band power divider, coaxial delay line. The output extension of the equipment is 10 ps-1 ns, the step is 1 ps, and the max measurement error is ±(3ps+0.01×interval). The experiment shows that the method can improve the disadvantages of the general calibration method effectively, and can calibrate the precise time interval counter conveniently.
