This paper expounds the concept of the search quotient and the current reading environment, analyzes the superiorities of university library in cultivating students search quotient, and puts forward some measures for university library to cultivate students search quotient, and points out that university librarians must master and utilize the search tools skillfully, and through different ways, cultivate students＇ search ability, and guide them to acquisition useful information quickly, and increase the learning efficiency.
