近代中国在列强入侵下,国情发生巨变,中国妇女在变化的历史时期经历着自身的嬗变。戊戌维新时期、辛亥革命时期、新文化运动初期,女性追求自身解放的历程随着历史的前进而进一步深化并形成自己的特点。社会性质的改变,西方思潮的传入及开明官员与政府的参与是这种特点形成的深刻的历史原因。

Chinese women had their own changes during the different periods in modern China, which had taken great changes under the inbreak of imperialism. Generally speaking, the female emancipatory course formed its characteristics along with his- torical progress such as Wuxu Innovation,Xinhai Revolution and New Culture Movement. The profound historical reasons, such as the change of society, the introduction of western social thoughts, the participation of enlightened officials and the limited support of the government of the Qing Dynasty prompted the depth of the women＇s liberation.
