\ In this paper,the function and classification of compatibilizer were introduced,and various compatibilization techniques for polyphenylene oxide(PPO) blends were reviewed in detail,whic included adding polymer or low molecule weight compatibilizers,and compatibilizing in situ resulted from functional PPO.At the same time,the compatibilization mechanisms were given.
