试论魏源的富民思想

On Wei Yuan's Thought of Enriching People

魏源的富民思想与19世纪上半期以及历代的富民思想有所不同。主要包含了商品经济,重视富民并鼓励他们消费和向西方学习先进文明的"师夷"思想等。这些思想在当时的中国虽然还没有完全实施的土壤,也不可能使广大民众尽快富裕,国家强盛起来,但是它从近代中国的实际出发,为近代中国逐渐走向世界,走向近代化起到了启轫作用。

Wei Yuan＇s thought on enriching people differed from the thoughts in the first half of the 19th century and of the previous dynasties. Wei Yuan＇ s thought on enriching people mainly contained the thought of commodity economy, attaching the rich people and encouraging them consuming and learning from the west. Although these thoughts were not implied completely at that time, and could not enrich the common people and strong up the country immediately, they originated from the actual conditions of China, promoted China to modernization.
