Efficiency analysis on Chinese insurance industry:2003～2007

摘要本文采用数据包络分析方法(DEA),利用2003年～2007年我国保险公司数据,选取13家主要保险公司作为样本,对其技术效率、纯技术效率、规模效率以及全要素生产率进行实证分析,从而分析影响我国保险公司效率的因素。文章从多角度分析了我国保险公司经营效率方面现阶段存在的主要问题,并提出提高我国保险公司绩效的建议。 Using thirteen Chinese insurance companies＇ data during the period of 2003 - 2007 ,we measured the technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency, scale efficiency and total factor productivity efficiency of them, using Data Envelopment Analysis （DEA） method. Our purpose was to find out which factors impact the efficiency of insurance companies in China. The paper analyzed major problems existing with operation efficiency of Chinese insurers ,and offered some suggestions on how to improve insurers＇ performance.
