高等职业教育主要是培养技术应用型高技能人才,技术的掌握与运用、技能的训练与形成都离不开实践,实训基地是实践性课程目标、设计、操作、评价和培养学生职业核心能力的重要场所。因此,有必要研究将实践教学各环节上升到"课程",予以充分重视并开发其生产功能,使实践课程在目标的设定和生成方法上彻底摆脱理论教学体系的束缚。同时,具有生产性功能的实践课程要求在实训基地管理、教学运行、成本核算、保障机制等方面进行制度创新,以促进高职院校教学改革的发展。
