凌津奇教授是美国亚裔美国文学研究学者,美国洛杉矶加州大学英文系与亚裔美国研究系终身教授,天津市及天津师范大学文学院特聘讲座教授。凌教授的专著《叙述民族主义:亚裔美国文学的意识与形式》(牛津大学出版社,1998年)对亚裔美国文学研究者来说是一部极具参考价值的学术著作。在这篇访谈中,凌教授就亚裔美国文学在美国的研究历程,后现代主义、后结构主义、新历史主义、多元文化论以及后殖民研究在亚裔美国文学批评中的应用,发表了独特的看法。
Jinqi Ling, currently an associate professor of English and Asian American Studies at the University of California at Los Angeles, distinguished chair professor of College of Chinese Language and Literature of Tianjin Normal University, is a prominent Asian American literary critic in the United States. His monograph Narrating Nationalisms: Ideology and Form in Asian American Literature ( Oxford University press, 1998 ) is a significant work in the field of Asian American literary Studies. In this interview, he offers insightful and eyeopening perspectives on issues about Asian American literary criticism as an evolving field, postmodern and poststructuralist problematics, new historicism, multiculturalism, and the application of these approaches to Asian American literary investigations.
