In this paper, two new asymmetric pentaazadentate macrocyclic cadmium and indium complexes are synthesized and their electronic spectral properties including the molar extin ction coefficent(ε), the lifetimes of the first singlet excited state, the fluorescence quantum yield are measured. the experiments appear that these complexes exhibit an expanded optical window between the soret and the Q band in visible region and an H aggregation occurred in strong polar solvents.
