Anthropology in China:The Present and Prospect

综观中国新兴学科人类学当今的研究特点与发展面貌,可以发现:一些传统的学院派研究主题在多年的积累之后获得了承前启后的新成果,并拓展了新的海外研究领域;新兴的影视人类学摄制起到了文化诠释和应用的重要作用。现在,学院派的学者纷纷卷入公共卫生和文化遗产保护等重要项目中去,它的好处是可以从中转化理论,为学术和社会的发展作出贡献。学科导向、理论创新和寻求应用的契机是中国人类学今后发展需要关注的三大要点。

This paper introduces the research characteristics and development of contemporary Chinese anthropology as a newly-developed discipline. It points out that some traditional research subjects of academism has gained a new result for years of studies and developed into a new field overseas. New visual anthropology has turned from cultural interpretation to application. Nowadays scholars of academism get involved in the important projects of public health and cultural preservation, from which theories may be transformed and contribution to academic and society can be made. The paper also emphasizes that the discipline-orientation, theoretical innovation and seeking opportunities for application serve as the three important foundations for the future development of Chinese anthropology.
