On the Translation of Fuzzy Language in Lin Yutang's English Version of "Six Chapters of a Floating Life"

从《浮生六记》英译本可以看出模糊语言与翻译的关系:以虚对实,以模糊语言翻译原文的准确语言;以虚对虚,以模糊语言翻译原文的模糊语言;以实对虚,以精确语言翻译原文的模糊语言,其目的在于探讨如何通过灵活的翻译手法在译文中再现原文意境。

This article deals with the relationship between the fussiness of language and translation which discusses the translation of fussy expression in the original version into the fussy expression of the target version, the translation of the fussy expression of the original version into the accurate expression to the target one and the translation of accurate expression in the original language into the fussy expression of the target language. It aims at how to reveal artistic conception with the skills of translation.
