摘要
长足象(Mecysolobusero)对大叶醉鱼草(BuddlejadavidiFr.)的生长有一定的抑制作用,是一种很有潜力的天敌。研究结果表明:长足象在南京地区一年发生2~3代,以成虫在植株下部枯枝落叶或表土中越冬,越冬代危害期在5月上中旬~7月上中旬;第一代危害期在7月中上旬~8月上旬;第二代危害期在9月上中旬~10上中旬。盛夏高温,日平均气温29℃以上,可引起该虫的生殖滞育。
Longleg weevil, M. erro is a potential agent for the biological control of Buddleja davidii Fr.. Biological and ecological studies showed that the insect has 23 generations annually in Nanjing and adults overwinter under dealbranches and leaves or in soil. The damages caused by overwintered, first and second generations were observed from early May to midJuly, early July to early August and early September to midOctober, respectively. High temperature in summer (daily average temperature higher than 29 ℃) induces reproductive diapause in adults of the insect.
