Future Climatic and Environmental Predication and Antarctic Snow-ice Research

自古以来,人们就十分关心周围的环境状况和未来的环境变化,它是推动自然科学发展的动力之一。国际气候组织在80年代预测,到下世纪30～50年代,全球气温将升高3～5℃,并将导致海平面升高1米多。令人奇怪的是,在60～70年代,当人们经历了几年寒冬之后,就曾预报今后的气温会越来越冷,新的冰期又将到来,人们又将回到200年前小冰期时所经历的漫长冬季。为何仅隔一二十年的时间。

Future climatic and environmental predication is specially concerned all over the world due to the dramatic global environmental change over the past two centuries.The information in the strata,the impacts of Antarctic ice sheet in the global sea level and environment,significant discoveries and major achievements derived from polar ice cores,especially from Antarctic ice sheet,are discussed.Furthermore,international research programs of the role of Antarctic ice sheet in global change,and Chinese Antarctic glaciology and environmental research in the ninth five-year-plan of Chinese Antarctic research are presented.
