Studies on gastric cancer associated genes by mRNA differential display

摘要 为了克隆与胃癌发病相关的新基因,我们以正常胃粘膜细胞GES和胃癌细胞系7901为对比材料,利用mRNA差异显示技术,得到两个cDNA片段。经分析发现,分别与Trk基因及白血病病毒基因有80%和30%的同源性及较好的读框,有可能为胃癌相关的新基因片段,已在GenBank中登录:176116,176385。 Cancer is a disease state caused by multiple genetic alterations which lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation. The process often involves the activation of cellular protooncogenes and inactivation of tumor suppressor genes. By using differential display, mRNAs from a normal gastric mucosa cell line GES and a gastric cancer cell line 7901 were compared to search novel gastric cancer associated genes. We report here the identification and characterization of two cDNA fragments designated GCC1 and GCC2, respectively, which were expressed exclusively in the gastric cancer cell line 7901. These sequences have been assigned the database ID numbers in GenBank: 176116, 176385.
