目前常用的鼻整形材料骨、软骨、硅胶及羟基磷灰石（ＨＡ）在应用中都有一定的局限性，应用一代新的鼻整形材料十分必要。用膨体聚四氟已烯（ｅＰＴＦＥ）替代目前常用的鼻整形材料行各种鼻整形手术，并进行了随访观察。随访结果显示手术取材容易，术中操作方便，术后鼻部水肿反应轻，恢复快，鼻外形及质地均较目前运用其它材料行鼻整形的结果满意。ｅＰＴＦＥ适合应用于各式各样鼻畸形的整复，是目前鼻整形材料的新的替代产品。

Plastic surgeon usually apply bone, cartilage, silicon and HA as prosthesis in rhinoplasty, which have some limitations. It is essential to search for a new kind of material for rhinoplasty. Instead of the materials used, we apply ePTFE (Gore-Tex) in all kinds of rhinoplasty operation and follow up of the patients gave satisfactory results, the patients recovered quickly, with nasal shape more natural, it is very easy to get ePTFE and the operation is convenient. We consider that ePTFE is suitable for all kinds of rhinoplastic operation and have brilliant prospects in it The authors give a minute description in the characteristic of ePTFE, a kind of new materiel of rhinoplasty and explain some aspects of operation method.
