GML is a XML-based spacial information coding standard. The GML schema matching technique, which is used as the key technique in integrating and sharing the application schemas, is closely related to the GML analysis mechanism and implementation. The paper detailedly introduces the conception of GML schema matching, gives the matching steps and algorithm, and describes the detailed flow chart of the implemented schema matching, including the decision of semantics and structural similarity, and the setting of weights. Finally, the paper analyses and discusses the nondeteminant factors contained in the matching process.
