摘要
景点(区)名称属于地点名称,是特定景点(区)的标志,具有提示性、指示性等功能,但它与一般地名并不完全相同,往往和特定的历史文化背景相联系。作为景点(区)的核心要素,旅游文本英译中,景点名称的英译是很重要的环节,是景点介绍文本翻译的点睛之笔,翻译时既要准确理解源语基本信息,还要传达其特定丰富的文化内涵,因此要采取"归化"和"异化"翻译策略,充分传达源语语义和文化色彩,达到的翻译的功能和目的。
The names of tourist attractions, which belong to the category of place names and have informative and instructive function, are the symbols of tourist attractions. However, they are different from place names and usually connected or associated with the specific history, culture and custom. Of the English translation of the introduction text of these tourist attractions, proper translation of the names is crucial, which may add to the attraction of the tourist attractions if they are well- translated. So translators must understand the basic information and their culture connotation and use both domestication and foreignization translation strategies to convey the basic information and present their cultural characteristics so as to achieve the goal of text translating practice.
