This paper conducts an investigation into machinery vibration isolation by means of mechanical network and fourpole parameters method. The limitation of traditional vibration isolation theory in simplifying the vibration system is pointed out. The present results show that it is convenient to use fourpole parameters method in solving some vibration problems which are difficult to solve by means of traditional vibration isolation theory.
