公示语翻译已经成为一个热门话题,但其中也存在一些错误的观念,如公示语翻译的对象不明确,没有区分对内的公示语和对外的公示语,依然按照忠实的原则,采用一一对应的模式来提供公示语信息,而不是从功能的角度考虑等效翻译,甚至以为翻译提供的信息越多越好。此外一味的照搬国外的公示语,甚至抹杀文化差异性的现象也影响了公示语翻译的得体性。还有就是以为翻译使用的语种越多,国际化程度就越高。重文字表述轻图示,群众运动式的纠错,和把不该承担公示语和国际接轨的任务交给公共交通部门和政府部门来承担,也是当前公示语翻译中值得注意的问题。

Translation of public signs has become a heated issue. Some misconception also caused the confusion of the translation, such as translation without definite target readers, no distinction between internal and external usage, translation with faithfulness and one to one correspondence, translation without considering equifunction and information offer, complete borrowing, elimination of cultural-loaded signs, translation without conventional signs, mass movement of elimination of translation errors and undue responsibilities to the government and public transportation sector.
