Both in China and abroad corpus as a new method to research natural languages and its related corpus linguistics are arousing the interest of linguists. But there are still some misunderstandings about corpus and corpus linguistics among scholars and researchers to clear up： A corpus is most important, a small corpus is better than a big one, corpus linguistic methods require language and linguistics （background） knowledge, an annotated corpus has more value. This paper discusses 10 related misunderstandings about them which spread most widely. Finally, an overview about the further development of corpus linguistics will be made.
