摘要
采用西方修辞学的修辞情境理论分别从紧急情况、受众和限制三方面对英文版《北京周报》Forum栏目的传播效果展开评析,认为栏目编者忽略了中外受众的区别,使用了较多不适宜的修辞三段论;使用同一理论进行情感诉求时往往产生相反的效果。最后在此基础上提出建议,以期促进提高英语媒体的传播效果。
From the perspective of the rhetorical context, the effect of the "Forum" column of Beijing Review is analyzed in the aspects of exigency, audience and restriction. It holds that the editors have ignored the difference of the civil and overseas audience, and overmuch and inappropriate enthymeme as well as the negative effect from emotive expression by the same theory in the column. Several suggestions are also offered for the column in order to get a better effect in the Enghsh media communications.
