Discussion on Luxun's Historigraphic View

鲁迅重视野史杂说,认为所谓的正史由于受官方意识的影响,历史的真相往往被遮蔽。由于考证是了解历史真相的重要手段,因此鲁迅在整理古籍以及从事文学创作的过程中,非常重视考辨史实,反对主观或片面的判断。鲁迅主张治史应以服务于现实为目的,并以破除旧文明、创造新社会的观念为主旨来评判历史的得失。他在文学创作方面的成功,在一定程度上得益于他深厚的史学素养。

Luxun had paid great attention to unofficial history and various accomplishments about history. He firmly thought that the facts of history had been covered up in authorized history, which had been greatly influenced by the authorities＇ determinations. Given that study and comparison are the key tools to know the truth of history, Luxun placed great importance on historical facts＇ study and comparison in the course of sorting ancient books and literature writing. He was strongly objected to the subjective and one-side judgment. Luxun believed that history study and comparison should take serving for real society as its priority and consider the idea of breaking previous civilization and creating new society as the criteria of judging advantages and disadvantages of history. In some certain degree, the success of his literary creation did benefit from his profound historiographic attainments.
