EPC工程总承包模式是近十年来国际上逐步发展起来的一种工程承包和管理模式。它适用于价格固定、工期固定,由承包商承担所有设计、采办和施工工作的工程项目,在实践中有着广泛的应用前景。随着20多年的工程建设项目总承包市场的发展,业主的管理行为的成熟,国际化全球化的挑战,国外大型工程公司的进入,EPC工程总承包市场竞争越来越激烈。在此背景下,工程公司为获取持续竞争优势,纷纷引进和吸收先进的EPC管理理论和方法,作为工程总承包项目管理的重要手段。
EPC general contract mode now is a popular method of project contract and management, with the development of engineering industry in the recent ten years. EPC general contract is applicable to the projects with fixed price and fixed construction period, for which the overall engineering, procurement and construction will all be undertaken by subcontractors. With the development of the general contract markets of engineering and construction, the maturity of owners' management, the challenge of globalization markets, and the involvement of international engineering companies, the competition becomes more and more intense in the EPC general contract market. In such circumstances, engineering companies begin to learn and adopt advanced EPC management theory and method as the main method in project management, in order to maintain the competitive advantages of the company.
