Effect of alpha-lipoic acid on oxidative stress and endothelial function in patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathies

摘要 目的观察α-硫辛酸(ALA)对2型糖尿病患者周围神经病变(DPN)氧化应激和内皮功能的影响。方法 30例DPN患者予ALA 600mg/d静脉滴注14天。检测治疗前后氧化应激功能指标和血管细胞黏附分子(VCAM-1)、细胞间黏附分子(ICAM-1)的水平。结果 ALA可抑制氧化应激功能,降低ICAM-1的水平升高超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)活力,降低丙二醛含量,差异均有统计学意义,VCAM-1治疗前后差异无统计学意义。结论 ALA可抑制DPN患者氧化应激功能及降低ICAM-1水平。 Objective To observe the effects of alpha-lipoic acid on oxidative stress and endothelial function in patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathies. Methods 30 subjects were treated with alpha-lipoic acid 600mg daily intravenously for fourteen days. Oxidative stress indexes and levels of VCAM-1 and ICAM-1 were measured before and after the treatment. Results Alpha-lipoic acid inhibited oxidative stress and decreased ICAM-1 level. There was a significant increase in SOD level(P〈0.01) and a significant decreased level of MDM(P〈0.05)and ICAM-I (P〈0.01). VCAM-1 level was decresed, but there was no significant difference (P〉0.05). Conclusions Alpha-lipoic acid can inhibit the oxidative stress and decrease the level of ICAM-1 in patients with diabetic peripheral neuropathies.
