摘要
在3G时代CP们无疑有了更好的生存空间,学会适应新的环境,也许成就手机中的Googte并不是梦想。
Facing the undergoing operation of Third Generation Mobile Technology (3G) in China, entrepreneurs with different backgrounds and resources are rolling up their sleeves to take the lead in their respective fields on the new market. Kong.net's vice president Yang Ning is one example. He launched his third undertaking-a mobile search engine, hoping to make a Googlelike search on mobile phones. Many other content providers (CP), especially mobile games developers who have waited 3G for years, share the same view with Yang. But they have to cooperate cautiously with the relatively strong carriers, terminal venders and large service providers (SP). If they can well adapt to the new environment, 3G could be a good opportunity to produce mobile Google, mobile Sina.com or mobile Tencent out of them. As 3G prolonged the industrial chain, carriers have to dance with CP and SP to maintain their shares on the value chain as well as avoiding being a mere channel. Like Apple Inc.'s iPhone, handset venders begin to install various applications into their products, in the hope of taking a larger bite on the chain; meanwhile, Internet giants use their advantages of development and platforms to compete with other players on the market. It remains to be seen who will laugh the last and best. But one thing for sure is that those who can first establish or adapt to the game rules in the sector will be able to lead the 3G.
