摘要
细水雾灭火技术在船舶消防领域具有广阔的应用前景。由于灭火机理复杂,细水雾灭火系统的设计不能完全依赖于一般的原则或统一的标准。以船舶模拟动力机舱细水雾保护系统的实际应用为例,借鉴建筑防火性能化设计的基本思想,建立了基于性能化的细水雾灭火系统优化设计与评价方法。利用计算机模拟技术,对不同设计方案下细水雾灭火性能进行评价,并进行全尺寸灭火有效性试验验证,进一步指导细水雾灭火系统的优化设计。结果表明该方法为细水雾系统设计实现有效性和经济性的统一提供了合理解决途径。
Water mist, as a substitute of Halon, has widely potential applications in the fire suppression of ships. However, the design of water mist system cannot follow the general rules due to the complicated fire suppression mechanisms. In this paper, an optimal design and evaluation method of water mist fire suppression system has been established via applying the concepts of performance-based design to water mist protection system in the ship engine room. Firstly, fire scenarios are determined by possible fire developments based on the actual fireproofing purpose. The performances of water mist for various fire scenarios are then evaluated using computer simulation. On the other hand, full scale fire extinguishing tests are conducted for validation. Results show that this method provides a reasonable tool to harmonize the effectiveness of water mist system design with its economics.
