The Development Path of the Constitutionalism of Republic of China and Its Enlightenment

民国宪政的产生,是中国民族资产阶级追求自由民主的结果,但它最终却陷入了专制独裁政治的泥沼。从民国宪政发展的历史出发,探求其发展路径,挖掘其内在的社会历史根源,总结宪政历史的经验教训,并提出了对中国民主政治建设的若干有益启示。

The constitutionalism of the Republic of China as the fruit of the untiring effort of Chinese bourgeoisie has relapsed into the lair of autarchy. This paper starts from the history of democracy,exploring its development by tracing back to its social root and learning from the lessons throughout the history, and ends with the effort to induce some constructive enlightenment for today＇s Chinese democracy and politics construction.
