English Teaching and Culture Transfer

人们在学习外语时,会遇到母语文化的迁移现象,即母语文化与目的语文化之间的差异对外语学习的促进或干扰作用。本文从历史背景、地理环境、思维方式、宗教信仰和价值观等方面来讨论常见的文化迁移现象,以减少或阻碍文化的负迁移,促进文化的正迁移,提高教学效率。

When learning English, learners will inevitably encounter culture transfer, that is, the positive and negative effects of cultural differences between native language and target language on foreign language learning process. In the paper the reasons of culture transfer are discussed in order to promote the positive transfer and reduce the negative transfer caused by cultural differences in English teaching.
