论汉语政论文的文采及其英译

On Rhetoric in Political Writings and Its English Translation

汉语政论文大量运用隐喻，且极具汉文化特色。我们姑且称之为政论隐喻。本研究指出，政论隐喻与中国传统哲学、文学、艺术、审美等领域有着广泛的通约性，其四大特点：具象思维、浪漫抒情、华丽夸张、伦理至上，赋予了汉语政论隐喻独特的文采。其英译，如同其他隐喻的翻译一样，关键在于意象的处理，保留意象则为首选策略。

Metaphor is so common in Chinese political writings that we might establish a special type as political metaphor, which is closely related with the traditional Chinese culture. These political metaphors are marked with such features as images, exaggerations, strong emotions and frequent advocacy of morality, thus producing a unique rhetoric in the writings. In translating such metaphors into English, as in cases of other metaphors,literality is the first choice.
