英语网考的写作效度和信度研究

A study of validity and reliability of Internet-based English writing testing

大学英语四、六级考试要实行网考。就写作项目来说，关键要证明键盘输入写作和传统纸笔写作在效度和信度上是否一致。通过对102个学生进行键盘输入和纸笔英语写作的对比实验，本研究证明这两种形式的写作考试其效度和信度是一致的。由于键盘输入在学生的学习和生活中具有更大的实用性以及文字清楚有助于提高作文评阅的准确性和公平性，键盘输入写作考试的效度和信度甚至更高。研究还证明学生打字速度和电脑熟悉程度基本不会影响写作水平的发挥。在键盘输入写作考试环境中，少数学生可能会产生焦虑感，但这对写作水平发挥影响不大。

The key to iBT （Internet-based Test） implementation in CET （College English Test） is to prove the validity and reliability of Computer-Entered Writing Test. In order to investigate whether Computer-Entered Writing Test can maitain the same high level of validity and reliability as Paper-and-Pencil Writing Test and whether computer anxiety and typing speed exert influence on essay scores, the authors conduct a contrastive study in which a sample of 102 examinees are required to produce both a computer-entered essay and a paper-and-pencil essay respectively within one week. The study indicates that computer-entered essays are as valid and reliable as, and even more valid and reliable than, paper- and-pencil essays since computers are used more frequently in students＇ academic studies nowadays and legibility does appear to contribute to the validity of rating. It proves that no significant relationship is found between students＇ essay scores and their computer anxiety evoked by the computer-based test. Slow typists are not at a disadvantage.
