江泽民同志在成为党的第三代领导核心以后,对对外政策和对外关系问题深思熟虑,并形成了丰富而又有独到见解的重要策略:顺应世界多极化和经济全球化的发展潮流;始终奉行独立自主的和平外交政策,坚决维护国家的独立和主权;坚决反对霸权主义和强权政治,建立国际政治经济新秩序;努力构建与世界各国的伙伴关系;积极发展新型党际关系。

After Jiang Zemin became the leading core of the CPC third generation, his profound speculation on opening-up policy and foreign-oriented relationships matured into rich and path-breaking strategies. Firstly, China should adjust itself to world multi-polarization and economic globalization. Secondly, China should insistently adhere to its independent foreign policy of peace and maintain its national sovereignty and independence. Thirdly, China should be strongly opposed to hegemonies and power policies to construct a new order of international policies and economies. Fourthly, China must take care to build the partnership with various countries in the world. At last, China should develop new relations with different parties.
