150 patients with chronic pains caused by a great variety of diseases were treated by acupuncturing on the source-point and the collateral point, compared to the control group of 5 cases. Results showed that the effect of the observed group was significantly superior to the control group (P<0.01). It indicated that the method of combined selection of the source-point and the collateral point is an effectiveacupuncture treatment.
