摘要
对于建造方法、建造逻辑、材料性能等问题的关注是把建造作为建筑设计在当下的最核心问题,以"建造"作为工具对国内建筑实践现在遭遇的普遍困境进行批判和回应。这一方式是在某种程度上重构国内普遍缺失的建筑学的现代(modern)观念[虽然并不一定产生现代主义建筑(modernistarcihitecture)]。即把当代中国的批判性建筑实践(或者也可称为"实验建筑")视为一个延迟的文化意识、态度和策略,从而通过把现代延伸,获得迎对当代图像消费和商业化现实的批判动力。本文尝试从材料、性能和意义上打开"物质性"话题的三个切面,分别是a)幕墙-装饰-模糊;b)墙纸-图案-政策,c)塑料-塑性-专利。
The current attention on tectonics and material performance regards construction as the essence of architectural design, Construction functions as a critical response to the dilemma encountered in the existing Chinese practice condition. This attitude re-constructs the missing modernity in China (but does not necessarily produce modernist architecture). By understanding the contemporary critical Chinese practice (a.k.a "experimental architecture" )as a deferred cultural consciousness, attitude and strategy, I try to extend modernity to achieve the criticality to confront the contemporary image consumerism and commercialization reality. This essay opens up three issues of "materiality" through contemporary cuts of material, performance and meaning. They are: a) curtain wall - ornament - translucency; b) wallpaper - graphics - policy; c) plastic - elasticity - patent.
