Digitalization of the Detection Circuit for Resonator Fiber Optic Gyro Based on the Phase Modulation Spectroscopy Technique

摘要 谐振式光纤陀螺(R FOG)是基于Sagnac效应产生的谐振频率差来测量旋转角速度的一种新型光学传感器。针对调相(PM)谱技术的R-FOG系统方案,研究了基于坐标旋转数字计算机(CORDIC)算法的数字同步检测电路。通过单片可编程逻辑器件(FPGA)可同时实现调制信号产生、同步解调以及信号处理,从而使R-FOG检测系统更加稳定、灵活。对基于CORDIC算法的频率合成技术和同步检测电路做了分析和测试。将设计的数字检测电路应用于R-FOG系统,完成了陀螺转动信号的观测。 Resonator fiber optic gyro (R-FOG) is a novel optical rotation sensor whose resonant frequency is changed due to the Sagnac effect. In R-FOG using phase modulation (PM) spectroscope technology, a digital synchronous detection circuit based on the coordinate rotation digital computer (CORDIC) algorithm is studied. It can make the RFOG system more stable and flexible using a single field programmable gate array (FPGA) to realize the modulation signal generation, synchronous demodulation and signal processing synchronously. The frequency synthesis technology and synchronous detection circuit based on CORDIC algorithm are analyzed and tested. Applying the digital synchronous detection circuit to the R-FOG system, the gyro rotation signal is observed successfully.
