Discussion on Maneuvering VLCC Methods for Entering and Berthing Oil Storagetransportation Terminal of Yangshan Port

鉴于洋山港在上海国际航运中心建设的地位及超大型船舶航行与应急条件有限的实际情况,超大型油轮(Very Large Crude Carry VLCC)进靠该港口石油储运码头存在很多不确定的因素和风险。为了确保港口设施和船舶的安全,根据港口的实际情况和引领超大型船舶的经验与体会,就VLCC在洋山港航行和靠离操纵方法进行论述,强调了此类船舶在航行与靠离作业的注意事项。同时,结合引领VLCC"枫林湾"轮的深切体会,对洋山港石油储运码头附近的安全保证和VLCC安全靠泊的时机等进行了探讨。

In view of the status of Yangshan Port in the construction of Shanghai International Shipping Center and its limitations in navigation and emergency action for very large vessels, there are lots of uncertainties and risks for VLCC entering and berthing alongside crude oil terminals of this port. To ensure safety of port facilities and ships, maneuvering methods for VLCC entering and berthing Yangshan Port are studied, the matters needing attention for VLCC berthing and departing crude oil terminal are stressed according to the actual situation of port and pilot experiences. The improvement for the environments of the oil terminal and specific time for berthing alongside are suggested as well.
