水利实践是水文化发展的现实基础和重要来源。当代中国的水利实践,不仅呈现出前所未有的新面貌,同时也孕育和催生了新时代的文化精神。这些精神主要包括:群力治水的团结协作精神,献身、求实、负责的当代水利行业精神,人民群众主动创造历史的主人翁精神,人文社会科学精神与工程技术思想的融合,与国际接轨的开放意识和竞争精神。这些文化精神与中华水文化传统有着内在联系,但新时代的创新特色更为鲜明。

The development of water culture in contemporary China results from water conservancy practice,which not only shows unprecedented new image but also makes cultural spirits of the new times emerge.Such cultural spirits are as follows: cooperation spirits of regulating rivers and water resources,profession spirits of devotion and responsibility,a sense of being the master of history,a sense of merging humanistic spirits with engineering techniques,the consciousness of being open to the outside world,and competition spirits.Therefore,these cultural spirits have inherent relationship with Chinese water culture,but bear more innovation characteristics of the new times.
