Comment on Integration of Chinese and Western Civilization in the Context of Economic Globalization

社会存在决定社会意识,经济全球化必然导致全球文化领域大变革,"文明整合"是必然趋势。基于不同思维模式和文化传统的中西文明在文明整合过程中,"和而不同"是基本前提和最终归属。在从"不同"走向"和"的过程中,由文明差异导致的"文化矛盾"客观存在。必须运用马克思主义辩证运动观来指导中西文明乃至世界文明整合实践。

As social existence results in social consciousness,economic globalization definitely leads to great reform of global culture.Therefore,it is inevitable for global cultures to undergo civilization integration.The idea of 'compatibility in diversity' is the fundamental premise and the ultimate pursuit.In the process of civilization integration,there are cultural contradictions result from the differences of civilizations.Hence,it is necessary to use Marxism's dialectical viewpoint to guide the integration practice of global civilizations.
