On Male Involvement's Function in the Movement of British Women's Suffrage in 19th Century

19世纪,英国妇女选举权运动掀起第一个高潮。由于她们处于不同的阶级,导致主体内部分化。男性的参与和支持成为了英国妇女选举权运动走出黑暗的一盏明灯,为运动的发展带来了生机,不仅唤醒了广大女性主动为自己争取选举权的意识,而且还使一些男性从传统观念的束缚中解放出来,壮大了争取妇女选举权运动的社会力量。

In 19th century, the British Women＇s Suffrage Movement launched its first climax. As the main force in the movement, the British feminists struggled for women＇s legal rights to vote, in order to put women, which were ＂non-lexistence＂ in law, onto political arena. But because they were divided into different classes, leading to the internal differentiation of the main force and weakening the strength, so as to result the outnumbered situation in the movement. However, at this time the male involvement and support brought vigour like lamp in darkness to the movement. Even the cooperation between male and female played a very significant role in the movement, and also created a brilliant victory.
