摘要
基于MPEG-21标准框架建立了一个能集成各种现有多媒体处理软件构件和分布式的适配节点的可扩展开放框架,以便有效地实现统一媒体访问(UMA).通过扩展MPEG-21的用户环境描述工具来实现适配节点的能力描述,可以采用已有的标准化工具实现内容服务器和适配节点之间的信息交互,降低了系统实现的复杂度,并带来总体性能的提升.
Based on MPEG-21, this paper builds an extensible and open framework able to integrate multiple types of adapting software components and distributed nodes with specialized adaptation tools so as to realize Universal Multimedia Access (UMA). By extending the user environment description tool to realize the description of the capabilities of nodes, standardized tools can be used to process the information exchanged between the content server and adapting node to lower the system complexity and to improve overall performance.
