无车日活动是在有限的时间内,在城市规定区域里限制非公交机动车辆的通行,以减少拥堵、污染和噪音,并鼓励人们使用有利于环保的交通方式。通过对无车日由来、绿色交通以及实施无车日的必要性进行分析,并以重庆市渝中区实施无车日方案的交通量调查数据为例,探讨了无车日的交通需求预测及其实施效果,从而为其实施相应的交通管制和其重要意义的分析提供一定的科学依据。

During car free day, non-public motorized vehicles are prohibited in certain urban areas at a limited time, so as to reduce congestion, pollution, and noise, as well as to encourage the use of environmental travel modes. The origination of car free day is introduced; the green traffic and the necessity of car free day is analyzed. Based on the survey data of traffic volume got from Yuzhong District in Chongqing which implements the plan of car free day, the traffic demand forecast and implement effect of car free day is discussed, which provides some scientific guidance for corresponding traffic control and the analysis of its important significance.
