This article outlines the present status of the traditiona service and the shortage on the library document service. In the network environment library should convert its service mode, direction and method, characteristic library document information resources should be developed and eonstrueted snffieiently, making use of modem information technology and internet information resource to deep and expand library document information service,making it developing toward the direction of automation construction.
