从上下文语境角度对比分析《红楼梦》汉英语篇照应

A Contrastive Study of Reference Between Chinese and English Version of A Dream of Red Mansions From the Perspective of Context of Co-Text

文章以系统功能语言学的上下文语境理论为基础,结合Halliday与Hasan的衔接理论,采用实证法对比分析章回体小说《红楼梦》汉英语篇中的照应关系,探讨并归纳其异同点以及差异的原因,以期对翻译实践有所启示,进一步检验系统功能理论在汉英语篇对比研究中的可操作性,从而为小说的汉英语篇对比研究提供一种新的研究角度和思路。

This thesis tries reference, between the Chinese to blaze a trail in making a contrastive study of cohesive device, serial novel Hong Lou Meng and its English version A Dream of Red Mansions from the perspective of context of co-text in systemic functional grammar, which is an exercise to integrating context theories with cohesion theories. In the paper, the applicability and practicability of SFG to contrastive text analysis of Chinese and English are further tested so as to provide a new perspective and a new approach for contrastive studies of novels. The paper also probes into the similarities and differences of reference between Chinese and English as well as the reasons that cause the differences, which will provide a keen insight into translation practice.
