Reflections of Chinese National Culture:the Dilemma and Outlet to Modernization

中国传统思想文化,亦即国学,经过两千余年的积累和沉淀,形成了自身独特的发展系统与特质,在中国传统社会中发挥着巨大的作用。然而,近代以来,面对现代化、全球化浪潮的双重冲击,国学日益暴露出自身的保守性和诸多弊端,无奈地陷入了困境。国学必须在保持民族文化特色基础上,广收博纳世界各民族文化的精华,积极融入世界文化的滚滚洪流之中,方能推动国学的综合创新,从而摆脱危机,走出困境。

Chinese national culture is usually known as the study of Chinese traditional culture. With a process of accumulation and precipitation about two thousand years,it has established its own system of develop and features. In traditional society of China, the traditional culture plays a great role. However, in modern times, confronted with the double wave of modernization and globalization, Chinese traditional culture reveals its conservatism and disadvantages increasingly and obviously. It is in a dilemma helplessly. As far as I am concerned, Chinese traditional culture must select and learn from the essence of other culture extensively on the basis of keeping its own characteristics and identity. Apart from that, it should also penetrate into the great waves of world culture actively. From this, the comprehensive creation of Chinese traditional culture can be pushed forward and it can also walk out of this dilemma.
