“时代”与“人性”之间的不懈探索——於梨华小说的“家族史”阅读

The Untiring Exploration between "Era" and "Human Nature "——Use "Family's History " to Read Yu Li-hua's Novel

美籍华裔作家於梨华,人称"留学生文学的鼻祖"、"无根一代的代言人"。其实上述说法,既不足以概括其创作全貌,又无法解释深层创作动机。"家族婚恋"题材的小说发展方向有二:一是越写越"窄"的"人性小说";一个是越写越"宽"的"时代小说"。於氏则二者兼而有之,找到了个人感受与时代风尚的最佳结合点,以"家族史"的形式反映几代海外中国人的生存状态,取得了极大的成功。

Yu Li -hua, American writer of Chinese origin is named as ＂the founder of the foreign student＇s literature＂ and ＂the spokesman of the generation who does not have the root＂. In fact, the views which is above -mentioned is neither enough to summarize her creation overall picture, nor explain her motive of creating from the deep layer. The novel taking family and marriage as subject matter has two kinds of developing direction, One is ＂the human nature novel ＂ ,another one is ＂ the era novel ＂ She combines two directions, then found the best combination which has the prevailing custom and personal feeling. She has made great success, through displaying the abroad Chinese life situation with ＂family＇s history＂.
