The influences of the root curvity radius,length,end ellipticity of a notch and the forms,materials of the sample on the failure assessment diagram were totally studied.The revision method of stress intensity factors of a notch was proposed,and based on the revision method,a failure assessment diagram was established for eliminating efficiently the influences of a notch on the failure assessment diagram,the revised crack failure assessment diagram could be more accurately used for the complete assessment with notch structure.
