With the development of oil and natural gas industry,carbon steel and low alloy steel with poor corrosion resistance have been already difficult to meet production demand and the stainless steel material with excellent corrosion resistance becomes a research focus on selecting suitable materials in oil and natural gas industry.Described are such factors affecting corrosion as hydrogen sulfide,carbon dioxide,chlorine ion,temperature,sulfur,sea water and manual operation in oil and natural gas production and introduced are the ferrite stainless steel,martensite stainless steel,austenitic stainless steel and duplex stainless steel which are suitable in oil and natural gas production.
