The production practice and quality control of the wire rod for tire cord steel in use of continuous casting billet are introduced in this paper. The measures mainly include controlling harmful element, inclusion, central segregation and surface quality of wire rod. Furthermore, the end use results by customers and the recent quality problems are also presented.
