The medium maintenance and the application of the Spheroidal graphite cast iron cooling stave are introduced in this paper. The mechanism and reasons of the wear of cooling staves of Shougang＇s No. 3 BF are examined, and then the countermeasures in improving the cooling system of No. 3 BF are put forward.
