徐特立解决延安军民生活困难的四大贡献

XU Te-li＇s Four Major Contributions to the Solution of Life Difficulties of Army Men and Civilians in Yan＇an

在陕甘宁边区，徐特立不仅领导延安自然科学院举办实验工厂，而且亲自参与一些实验活动，为解决延安军民生活困难做出了四大贡献：利用当地的一种野草制成染料，加工制作军民被服；试种成功西红柿并大规模推广，部分解决了军民吃蔬菜难的问题；饲养奶牛，不仅解决儿童吃奶的问题，而且使一些年老体弱的同志也享受了这一待遇，同时还为中央机关提供了数量可观的新鲜牛肉；试验栽种果树和木本花卉．为延安军民供应水果和环境美化、绿化资源。

In the Shanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border region, XU Te-li not only led Yan＇an Natural Sciences Academy to start an experimental plant, but also personally participated in a number of experimental activities. He had made four contributions to solve the life difficulties faced by people there. The four major contributions go as follows： using local weeds to be made into a dye making military and civilian clothing; successfully growing tomatoes which partially solving the problem of eating vegetables; feeding problem of feeding children, but also made some of the old and the weak central authorities with substantial quantity of fresh beef; trial planting supplied fruit for soldiers and civilians in Yan＇an and made the environment dairy cattle, which not only solved the have milk, at the same time provided fruit trees and woody flowers, which more beautiful.
